Empowering a Safety-Driven Culture
At Power-Packer, safety is a promise we make to ourselves and each other, guiding our operations toward a brighter, safer future. This commitment ensures resilience and security in every aspect of our work, making safety the foundation of everything we do.
Proactive Safety Culture
Our approach to safety begins with task awareness and thorough safety assessments. By fostering a culture where employees pause and assess risks before proceeding, we significantly reduce the likelihood of unsafe actions leading to severe consequences.
We implement robust safety measures, including evaluating processes, identifying hazards, and taking preventative actions. Training on Last-Minute Risk Assessments (LMRA) promotes a systematic approach to safety, enhancing overall protection.
Empowerment Through Learning
Empowerment through learning is key. Engaging our team in ‘STOP, THINK, ACT’ activities and regular risk analyses builds a safety culture where everyone is aware of potential risks and knows how to mitigate them. Interactive activities, such as safety talks, poster competitions, and quizzes, keep safety at the forefront.
Daily Safety Practices
Integrating safety into daily routines is crucial. Regular safety observations and detailed records help us identify dangers, evaluate risks, and implement control measures. Each shift begins with a safety review meeting to discuss performance and risks, including successes, areas for improvement, deviations from standards, and activities requiring last-minute risk assessments. Unresolved issues are escalated to higher-level meetings, with all observations and incidents documented for analysis and preventive action.
Daily stand-up meetings are complemented by team audits using tools like Kamishibai and the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). These practices help maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace, and enhance overall safety standards.
Protective Measures
To enhance safety at every level, we focus on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and machine safety risks. Incorporating Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S practices ensures a well-maintained and safe environment. Safety challenges and manager awareness further strengthen our safety culture.
Our Safety Commitment
We ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures, designing safe products and processes, and maintaining high housekeeping standards. This commitment to safety and well-being is reflected in our dedication to excellence, resulting in greater reliability, fewer disruptions, and a brighter future for all. By carrying forward these practices, we ensure a safer future for everyone.
